DHCP

I know that in order for host 1 to receive it's IP config from the DHCP server, the command 'ip helper-address 10.1.1.1' would need to be applied to the Fa0/1 interface. Is this true?

Hello,

if Host 2 is in the same subnet/Vlan as the DHCP server, it will get a DHCP address without the need to configure an ip helper address on R2.

Hello

Neither host would require helper addressing providing the dhcp server is locally connected to R1 routed interface
