Does Cisco has software monitor traffice ?

Does Cisco has software monitor traffice? ex: clinet have virus and request to Cisco switch, router that we can know which client attack .

Hello,

Cisco has many tools to monitor traffic. Each platform may have its own specific tool. Most comman across all platforms are:

Netflow:

and SPAN:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_tech_note09186a008015c612.shtml

If you have some specific platforms you want to check for the available tools - let us know. As I said particular platforms may have additionla tools.

Hi Rechard,

You can also use Embedded Packet Capture method to capture packets and then analyze using tool like wireshare .Here is document you can refer for same "Configuration Example: Embedded Packet Capture on Cisco IOS and IOS XE"
