Below is the list mentioned in eve ng but what is the proper way to download these images

Have you come across anytime search engine called  "google.com" ( take the image name and search it) you get plenty of sites to download, validate the image and use for Lab. (that is your own risk).

Cisco offers CML as product its not free cost you $200 which has all the images including the License to use for Labbing purpose officially.

"Cisco offers CML as product its not free cost you $200 which has all the images including the License to use for Labbing purpose officially."

BTW, some more info about CML, the $200 is an annual license fee, and that's for the least capable version.  Also, individual specific images are not normally used, CML provides an image for an IOS similar kind of devices, e.g. an IOS-XE router.

Cisco also offers its Packet Tracer for free, if you sign up in their Network Academy.

The only place you can legally download Cisco copyrighted IOS/XE/XR/NXOS software is from cisco.com; anywhere else is a pirate site violating Cisco's copyrights. The only legal way to download and execute Cisco copyrighted software from cisco.com is to obtain a valid Right-To-Use (RTU) license from Cisco. As Joe mentions, Cisco IOS/XE/XR/NXOS RTUs typically have one-time or recurring costs (eg, CML), but some RTUs for copyrighted utilities are free (eg, Packet Tracer).

What proponents of GNS3 and EVE-NG rarely mention is that the Cisco images that make these simulation systems useful require the purchase of RTUs from Cisco to operate legally, as most of the proponents rely on pirated software instead. CML is the most cost-effective way to obtain a simulation environment with legally licensed Cisco images. Note that CML images cannot legally be executed outside of CML as in GNS3 or EVE-NG; individual RTUs must be purchased for these non-CML environments which would far exceed the annual cost of CML.

Disclaimers: I am long in CSCO. Bad answers are my own fault as they are not AI generated.
