Is the higher the AF class the more preferred??Then is the higher the drop probability value the more preferred. For instance Cisco recommends the Expedited Forewarding "Premium Service" Code Point value at 101 11 0...there by giving it class 5 with a drop value of 3 ---"AF53"...Does the higher drop probability value of 3 acutally mean therefore it will be dropped less.

Class 5 is Expedited Forwarding where packets are given premium service and least likely to be dropped. This is what needs to be matched in the class-map for VOIP. However it is written as 46, not 53.

If I am understanding your question correctly you want to know if the value of 3 means traffic will be dropped less. My understanding is that a value of 1 means it will be dropped less. Furthermore, with a class of 5 it should be Expited Forwarding (EF) rather than Assurance Forwarding (AF).
