EIGRP neighbor router-id issue

Hello guys

I have a question , it may be simple but  honestly i couldn't find any answer for it.

How can i find eigrp neighbor Router-id ?

Dear,

There is nothing such as EIGRP neighbor Router-id. But were in you have the EIGRP Router-id command.

The EIGRP router ID is chosen as the highest IP address on an active interface on the router, unless loopback interfaces are configured, in which case it is the highest IP address assigned to a loopback interface. Alternatively, if the eigrp router-id ip-address router configuration command.

router-1(config)#router eigrp 7 
router-1(config-router)#eigrp router-id 3.3.3.3

So in EIGRP there is no way to find neighbors RID?

Look at here:- R1# show ip eigrp topology 10.0.0.0/8

Some more info why Router-id is used in EIGRP" is:-

EIGRP router id plays a key role for EIGRP external routes.

EIGRP external routes have a field EIGRP router originator that is filled with EIGRP RID.

if two routers have the same EIGRP RID they will not accept external routes originated by the other one.

Actually i noticed that it's possible to know Originating router only in routers with version 15 IOS.

There wasn't such information generated in router with IOS version 12.

Hi,

In version 12 , you can see the RID of the router advertising external routes whereas in version 15.0 you should see it for all routes (internal and external) if I reckon correctly.
