You should not have a problem. I would reference your companies change management procedures. If you are having a problem like high CPU utilization then you would probably not want to wait. If your not having any issues your better of waiting until after hours.
Just check the memory utilization as well as cef does consume more memory than other switching methods. Also, if you are doing this on a distributed platform, be sure to use the ip cef distributed command to get the most benefit.
