Hi,
I am trying to provide a solution to one of our remote customers (They do not have Broadband available) only local pstn dial up.
We have a client server application which uses dial up we wish to route via IP.
We want to install a cisco Router at the remote customer PSTN exchange and take a PSTN call using Terminal software.
Upon receving the call the Cisco device should encapsulate the async data and send over TCP/IP on a specific port where our host application will receive the data. Making it appear as if the data has come in via IP.
can this be done using the AS5XXX RAS servers ?
I do not think this is a reverse Telnet but some sort of async to ip encapsulation.
Can anyone confirm if this can be done using Cisco RAS servers. Help would be appreciated.
I know of one large company who currently provide this but not 100% sure is they use Cisco AS5xxx servers.
Best regards
Pat

Have you looked into the autocommand telnet command? We use it for a dial-up BBS system and it works great.

Hope that helps.
