encapsulation HDLC/PPP and link errors

Hi ,

Interfaces with encapsulation HDLC and found no CRCs and input errors. But when  we configured with encapsulation PPP then started getting CRCs and input errors.

I am serching for the reason , Appriciate if any one help here .

Hello,

CRC and input errors have no relations with the encapsulation method on Serial interfaces. I doubt you have seen it with PPP rather than HDLC.

However, if you still see it, then it would probably be some problem with the Telco, I would say you need to ask your provider for a Loop test if possible on the WAN link.
