- 1) Which command did you use to save the configuration ? 2) What is the output of dir bootflash: ? 3) Are you logged on as 'full administrator' ?

- That's an incorrect command , try : copy running-config startup-config

>...I think because i couldn't save the config surely the admin account didn't take effect on the router. I guess so.
Does that mean that the issue has been resolved ?

The problem has not been solved yet. In fact it is a new ISR 1100 cisco router which comes with 2 consoles ports ( Micro USB and RJ45). I connect to the router through the console port (micro US) because i don't the RJ45 console cable in my possession. I don't know if when connected through the Micro USB console port i am not able to save config and i should rather connect through the other port RJ45 in order to save config.

- I am not sure if the issues is related to the console type(s) , I would advise therefore to setup a minimal networking (config) on the 1100 so that you can access it from ssh or telnet too. Check if you can then go to enable mode and save the config. If the error persists then post the running configuration which you tried.
