ERSPAN 6500 SUP720-3B and 3750

I was looking at ERSPAN to monitor VoIP traffic from a remote site (from VLAN300), the remote site has a 3750 (WS-C3750-PS-S) with one interface in routed mode that connects to the 6500 - again a routed port. The server that will be analysing the remote monitor traffic is also connected to the 6500.

Is this possible? i see that the SUP720-3B is on the list that support ERSPAN, whilst the 3750 is not.  If this is not an option, how else can i monitor (presumably using RSPAN) over a routed link?

Regards

Jeff

Jeff,

AFAIK, you won't be able to have traffic sent back from the 3750 with rpsan. The 3750 doesn't support erspan, so you may be limited to using span/rspan locally to a server at that location. There may be other tricks that I'm not aware of, but I believe you're going to be limited to that location.
