I currently have two 3745 Routers that I would like to take the built in fast ethernet interfaces and configure them for etherchannel. I have run into a problem however. I can create the port-channel interface and I can also add the fast ethernet interface to a channel group, but, when you use the show command to show the etherchannel, it doesn't show any ports as being in the channel group.
Does the built in fast ethernet interfaces of the 3745 support etherchannel?

Hi,
I don't think so.
I would think that your best shot is to bridge both FE ports and try to configure Etherchannel on them!
But I doubt it will work!
Let's see if anyone has better answer than me!

I think running 2 point-to-point L3 connections with dynamic routing protocols + CEF load-balancing is an alternative.

Unfortunately I can't do that in the current setup. I would really like to use etherchannel but unfortunately it seems that I just can't get it to work.
