version c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M3.bin

Post output of show interfaces please.. sorry never worked with the C888.. but providing output of the show interfaces should be enough to ID the issue

Hello,

which Ethernet0 port are you missing ? The 888-K9 has four LAN ports, FastEthernet0 - 3, and one FastEthernet WAN port, FastEthernet 4.

Have a look at the attached image - which port is not showing up ?

hi,

on the router that is causing it, if i do the command show version i get this :

cisco C888-K9 (revision 1.0) with 357452K/35763K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FJC2116L0YL
1 DSL controller
4 FastEthernet interfaces
1 ISDN Basic Rate interface
1 terminal line
1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module
DRAM configuration is 32 bits wide
255K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
254976K bytes of ATA System CompactFlash (Read/Write)

on the router that does not have a problem, if I do the command show version I get this
Cisco C888-K9 (revision 1.0) with 357452K/35763K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FGL1851206X
1 DSL controller
1 Ethernet interface
4 FastEthernet interfaces
1 ISDN Basic Rate interface
1 terminal line
1 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Module
DRAM configuration is 32 bits wide
255K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
250880K bytes of ATA System CompactFlash (Read/Write)

There 2 different physical outputs , the 1 that does not have the problem has an extra hardware Ethernet port , what are trying to setup a lan or wan port , the original looks like its only able for 4 lan ports plus 1 dsl wan port , while the working one has 4 lan 1 wan Ethernet but also a dsl wan , your missing a port if this is a like for like replacement

1 Ethernet interface

Hello,

check the physical back of your routers...is there an Ethernet 0 interface in one of them and not in the other ? Ethernet 0 is tied to the DSL...

Can you post the running configurations of both routers ?
