Hi experts,

please find the topology below..

* HSRP running between my core and CE routers

* we have 3 static routes towards CE VIP, CE1 physical interface IP and CE2 physical interface IP

* In condition primary PE link fail traffic doesn't move on secondary PE

To archive fail over in condition of primary PE failure how traffic will switch via CE2 to PE2.

Please assist me for above configuration...

Hi,

is HSRP configured to track the primary PE reachability on your primary CE router?

The HSRP Active router should swap from the primary CE to the secondary CE when the primary PE is not reachable.

Another possiblity would be not using HSRP tracking but to run iBGP between your CE routers.

The outgoing traffic would still reach the primary CE which would forward it to the secondary CE in a case of primary PE connectivity lost.

Best regards,

Milan
