Flash memory upgrade!

Hi,

Is there is any restriction about Flash memory upgrade for Cisco 3660 and 3640 routers, i have 2 3660 and 2 3640(with 32 MB SIMM flash memory for each, except for the last one 3640 with 8 MB Flash memory) and i want to buy PCMCIA Flash memory 32MB for each one. Is there is any restriction about the max Flash memory in MB that to upgrade, and i think that PCMCIA flash memory size must be small than or equal the SIMM flash memory. right?

OK, either you have 8MB of flash on 2 SIMMs and 8MB on 2 PC cards, highly unlikely, since the AMD 29F016 are SIMM modules.

Or you have only one SIMM with a total of 32MB. Only the router is showing it as 4 chips with 8MB each, this is the most likely. But again maybe you have 2 SIMMs with 16MB each.

I take it you don't have the possibility of opening the router, to have a look.
