I have one switch 2970 with module product number (GLC-LH-SM), i searched Cisco site about this product number and it refers to GLC-LH-SM= GE SFP,LC connector LX/LH transceiver. Now i have fiber connection (single mode), and i want from my side Cisco Catalyst 2948G to order GBIC module.

First, i need to order Fiber-optic 1000BASE-LX/LH for my Cisco Catalyst 2948G, and second can i have connection between two nodes from one side SFP module and from the other side GBIC?

Thank you

Yes. :)

You will need a WS-G5486 GBIC for the 2948G. Then you'll need a single-mode fiber-optic cable with one end as a GBIC SC-type connector and the other as a SFP/XFP LC-type connector.
