Hi,
I wanted to monitor interface status through SNMP.
We have SNMPc server, that will send mail alerts whenever device is down.
In the same way I wanted to get traps for interface up down.
So what configuration required in router to generate traps for link status.

Please refer to below link :

By using "snmp-server enable traps snmp linkup" & ""snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown".
Hope this helps.

Hi,
For what device do you want to enable those snmp traps?
In addition you may also need to add the following command -
"snmp-server trap link switchover"
Hope this helps!
