To Alls.

we have some QoS configuration issue during new router migration. firstly, we are using Cisco 7600 with SIP-400 card.

Please see the following log.

Hier-policy with queue-based features and more than 2 levels is not supported for this interface.

previous router was on Cisco 28xx. router. that configuration is used Cisco 28xx without no issue.

My knowledge is SIP-400 card is support full router feature. but we are still seeking why this configuration didn't work on new router.

Is there anyone who can help our issue quickly?

Thanks in advance.

A 7600 SIP-400 isn't a 28xx and 7600s (and 6500) often have fewer features then software only routers.  (NB: actually if I remember correctly, the SIP-400 [and SIP-200 and FlexWAN] supports more QoS features then most other 7600 interfaces, but unfortunately it might still not support all the QoS features found on software based routers.)

Also, in practice, full featured QoS isn't often as critical on the faster interfaces likely used on a 7600 vs. the slower interfaces found on a 28xx.

I just ran into this issue, you are on IOS 12.2 and must be on 12.4 in order to utilize Hierarchical Queuing Framework.
