Help with low memory

Hi there, I have 3 cisco 1841 routers and I am trying to setup 'ip nat inside' on a serial interface and I keep getting a memory error.

Ive been stuck for two days, Ive tried it on one of the other routers and its fine, so I swapped the flash card over to this one and its doing the same thing.

Any help would be awesome please, Ive pasted the output below.

Many thanks

Robin

Ive just attached a screenshot of the two routers, the one with the blue F is the one having the issue, Im guessing it hasnt got enough memory?

Many thanks

Hi,

The version you have installed needs 128MB of DRAM, and you have only 96MB.

No he doesn't.  The sum of 96256 and 34816 means the router has enough DRAM.

Upgrade the firmware of the router and try again.

you can do RAM upgrade. follow below link for guidance.

Leo mentions upgrading the software, which may resolve the issue. However, your current configuration might indeed be running the memory low enough, with fragmentation, that memory allocation just fails. The two ways to address that would be to either add RAM or to revise your configuration so that less RAM is used.
