Hi,
I have got a main server and reporting server. The reporting server extracts the database of main server at around 11.30 PM. After that the latency of main servers increases to 20 ms from 1-2 ms. But the backup server connected on the same network, through the same switch interface ping on 1 ms. When I issue shut and no shut command on the interface in the morning it starts to ping normally. The CRC errors is zero. No other problem seen. The main switch is cisco catalyst 2960 with 10/100 capacity. The other servers is connected to normal 10/100 switch. I guess the reporting server is trying to extract the maximum capacity of the switch interface. The reporting server end it's operation after 4-5 hours. Even after the reporting server ends its process the ping latency doesn't comes to normal position. Every day I have to reset the interface, How to solve this issue?

It may not be due to the cisco switch. Check resetting server interface, etc.

Hi,
After resetting server interface the case is same, works till night with 1 ms and increases like before. What to do ?
