Hi,

Check with "show interface x" and "show controllers utilization" commands.

is this direct first step or anything to deal with customer first?

Hi,
If you have login right to the device then first check the utilization and gather the details from the client about the issue and what type of traffic and how much traffic they have in the pick time.
After that, you must be check everything about traffic with best tool like PRTG.

That's a trick question.  Clients don't know when a link is highly utilized.

May be, but most of the complaints from customer's are Slow browsing(May be high utilization in link), packet drops.

"slow browsing" does not equate to link utilization.
Dropped packets does not equate to link utilization.

(In job interviews, it is not just about taking the question and answering it.  It can also be a test if the question is valid or not.)
