Good afternoon,
I am hoping to find some help with my current setup. I have a cisco 2911 (RJRTR)router connected to my ISP, with a cisco 3560 (RJSW1) switch connected using a trunk port. This side is working properly; however, I have an EERO connect to port (Vlan) providing internet to a cisco 1901 (CORPRTR) router and a 2960 (CORPSW1) switch. I cannot get the 1901 or the 2960 to talk to the 3560. I have attached the config run from all devices. If anyone has an idea on what I am missing that would be great.
I want the RJRTR to control the entire network, and I want the CORPRTR be able to get IP from the RJRTR via EERO; the RJ is configured with sub interfaces.
RJSW1 txt file would not upload without errors, file list below.

May be good to have small diagram
i am in guess your setup like below :
ISP -- cisco 2911 (RJRTR) --cisco 3560 (RJSW1) --cisco 1901 (CORPRTR) router and a 2960 (CORPSW1)-users ?
CORPRTR - getting DHCP IP from Switch so you need to have route like below or DHCP should have route already.
you can change below :
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 GigabitEthernet0/0
You ACL only need your LAN side IP :
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.5.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.10.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.20.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.30.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.40.0 0.0.0.255 any
access-list 150 permit ip 10.10.50.0 0.0.0.255 any
You need to add Route back to Switch since Switch having all the Layer 3 interface for clients.
ip address 10.10.1.0 255.255.255.0 (not sure this subnet this conflict with other network so, i prefer to change this to different subnet if you need it) - you can have overlap address but that is different way to fix it.
ip route 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.5.252
ip route 10.10.20.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.5.252
ip route 10.10.30.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.5.252
ip route 10.10.40.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.5.252
ip route 10.10.50.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.5.252
On the switch
no ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.10.1
no ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.1.1
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.10.5.2 - this is default route good enough to work.
Hope this help to fix the issue, still issue post again modified config to look.

My setup
ISP -- cisco 2911 (RJRTR) --cisco 3560 (RJSW1) port on switch -(10.10.1.0 network) with a EERO
EERO from the (10.10.1.0 network) cisco 1901 (CORPRTR) router and a 2960 (CORPSW1)-users ?
CORPRTR - getting DHCP IP from Switch so you need to have route like below or DHCP should have route already.

Make change as suggested and test it.
03-14-2025 11:35 AM
So i made the changes, but it did not work. Right now I am looking at why the CORPRTR can NOT ping any Vlan on CORPSW1

Hello,
can you post a brief schematic drawing showing how your devices are physically connected ? EERO as in mesh wireless router system ?
Either way, your CORPRTR has no route to any of the Vlans on the CORPSW1, it just has a default route, which is not pointing to CORPSW1.

According to the diagram, using a Router with NAT, you can not extend the VLAN to another system. (until we find a different method like VPN etc on)
Is this all in the same Location or different locations? how is your connection between RJSW1 to RJ(EERO) ?
Instead, you can extend directly Layer2 between RHSW1 to CORPSW1 (if they are same Location)
Post complete configuration after the change done (so we can verifiy that)
03-15-2025 09:54 AM
They are in the same house, RJSW1 is in my living room, and the CORPSW1 in my office. I was trying to avoid the use of an ethernet cable running across the home this is why I have the EERO.
The EERO is plug in a fast-ethernet port which has been set / assigned to the 10.10.1.0 network, the connecting EERO is the incoming connection to CORPRTR "Gi0/0" (via 10.10.1.0 network). "From here I can ping the VLAN of RJSW1, but not the RJRTR sub interfaces.
CORPRTR is connected to the CORPSW1 via Gi0/1 (configued as a trunk).
03-15-2025 12:23 PM
Let's get some clarification: You are extending the network using EERO. Is this EERO (do you have 2 EEROs?)?
Let me try to understand your setup. EEOR is used only to extend the network from one room to another, right?
As I mentioned before, your Router acts as a gateway for an inside network of CORPRTR, so you can not extend the VLAN.
What is your Goal to extend VLAN to other rooms?
you have the following options :
1. Remove Router and extend the VLAN using CORPSw1
2. Run the router in Bridge mode.
The EERO is plug in a fast-ethernet port which has been set / assigned to the 10.10.1.0 network, the connecting EERO is the incoming connection to CORPRTR "Gi0/0" (via 10.10.1.0 network). "From here I can ping the VLAN of RJSW1, but not the RJRTR sub interfaces.
check RJSW1 have trunk and allowed the VLAN connected RJRTR
Make sure you use the Gateway 10.10.1.1 for that to works.
If you configured RJSW1 as gateway then it will not work.
