How many vrf's does the ASR 9901 fixed chassis support, or is there licensing required.
Was delivered 2 ASR 9901 routers with some S-A9K-9901-VRF-LC smart licensing, but have not been able to determine whether I actually need these licenses to implement multiple vrf's.
without the SKU S-A9K-9901-VRF-LC the number of supported L3 VPN is 0
at least so it was on ASR9001 with IOS XR 5.1.3.
The same for virtual chassis to bundle two ASR9001 together we needed a license.
"the pay as you grow" has to be seen pay for many features in the core device datasheet.
However, this is also a way to win some RFP otherwise Cisco would be not an option.
