Dear all,

May I know how memory usage for one BGP route? as I would find out how much memory should I use for full BGP table in router.

BTW, can 2621XM sustain to be used as full BGP router?

I don't know the exact amount of memory consumed per BGP prefix, as this may vary slightly based on attributes etc. The rule of thumb that I've always used is 1 MB of memory per 1000 BGP prefixes received. The table is now over 160k prefixes, so 265M is the way to go. Keep in mind that if soft-reconfiguration inbound is configured, you are storing the entire table sent to you by each neighbor in the RIB whether you filter it or not. I know this is garbage-bucket chemistry here, but if you guesstimate around 1k of memory per BGP prefix, you should be ok.
