How to break cisco 1941 router password

Hi all.....

I have cisco 1941 router.unfortunately i dont remember password.Can any body tell me how to break password.

I tried to go in Rom mon using ctr+break but nothing is happened.

Pls provide any link.....Any help is appreciated....Thanx..

It should be just the break key off your keybroad

Try following method with Hyper Terminal :

Complete these steps to simulate a break key sequence:

Connect to the router with these terminal settings:

1200 baud rate

No parity

8 data bits

1 stop bit

No flow control

You no longer see any output on your screen, and this is normal.

Power cycle (switch off and then on) the router and press the SPACEBAR for 10-15 seconds in order to generate a signal similar to the break sequence.

Disconnect your terminal, and reconnect with a 9600 baud rate. You enter the ROM Monitor mode.

<after getting into ROMMON follow below steps>

rommon 1 > confreg 0x2142

rommon 2 > reset

Router#copy startup-config running-config

Router(config)#enable secret < password >

Router#show ip interface brief

<unshut the shutdown interfaces>

Router(config)#config-register 0x2102

Router#copy running-config startup-config

<restart router>
