Hi Guys,
I'm having an issues to update my bgp neighbor new IP prefixes.
I received an email from the peering neighbor,
Their AS path is announcing a new set of prefixes,

But when I running the command below, two of the new prefixes is not update to my list yet.
abc#show ip bgp neighbors 218.100.44.140 received-routes
BGP table version is 204631407, local router ID is 218.100.44.116

What should I do to update the new announcing prefixes??
Hope someone experts can advice me on this.
Really appreciate it.
Thanks.

They should show up in your table when you receive them. Did they specify a date that they'd start advertising them? Unless you have route filtering configured for the neighbor, you should just receive them.

Hi j.blaklet,
Thanks for your information.
I believe my router doesn't have route filtering configured for the neighbor,
This is my below configuration,
neighbor 218.100.44.140 remote-as 38182
address-family ipv4
neighbor 218.100.44.140 activate
neighbor 218.100.44.140 soft-reconfiguration inbound
neighbor 218.100.44.140 prefix-list as-mnc out
Need your help to advice on this issue.
Thanks.

I don't see anything in your current configuration that would lead me to believe you're disallowing those routes in. Maybe you should contact the neighbor to see if they're advertising those to you. It's also possible that they have an outbound filter as well and haven't allowed those prefixes to be advertised to you.
HTH,
John

Hi, let me check with the neighbor...
In this case, just to check with you, do I need to do clear ip bgp neighbor to update the prefixes?
Thanks.

No you shouldn't need to do anything on your end.
