Hello gentlemen,
I'm facing a rare issue, I have 8 CICSO switches (IE-3000) connected together and each switch has one device connected to it(all these devices are in one vlan).
I added a new switch in the loop and was able to ping all devices from it but when I disconnected the Ethernet cable from my PC and put it again, I couldn't ping any device.
I restarted this switch, then I was able to ping all devices, when I disconnected the Ethernet cable again from my PC and plug it again, I was not able to ping any device again, and I tried to ping from the other switches in the ring but smae issue is exciting.
But still all devices are communicating to each other, but I can't ping them or get access to them unless I restart the switch.

Ring ?
I can't ping devices until restarting the switch - Cisco Community
Corret us here, if you disconnect PC from ethernet, how does that going to ping ?
i do not see the logic here if PC has no ethernet connection, how do you expect that device in the network ?
or we missing some information here

have connected console and checked from switch are you able to ping PC IP ?
how is your STP looks like when you lost the connection.
i would verify the config again -

Thanks, I will check that.
I have just copied the configuration from one switch and installed it in the new switch, I only changed host name and management IP address, I will check other switches if there is something unique in each switch than need to be changed which differ each switch form the other one, any idea?

vlan 1 has no port configured,
vlan 2 has all 1-4 ports, port#1 is connected to a device, others are spares and I used them to access the devices on others switches

I can't ping my when connected by console.
I compared the configuration between all switches , there is nothing unique and different in thier configuration execpt for IP address and host name.
This issue took place only after adding the new switch in the ring.
I 0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

I checked the configuration of the switches and found nothing is unique for each switch except for IP address and host name, the issue took place only after adding the new switch in the ring, the Fa1/2 is showing connected and communicating normally with other devices but I can't ping it or Ping other devices in the same vlan , F1/3 is showing down but I'm connecting Ethernet cable to it by PC

what is the status when you remove that switch and all work as expected.
