We're looking to deploy a setup using an IR1011 and IC3000 modem plus gateway combination. We would like to have the IC3000 unit run modbus/serial out of it and know this is possible on the IR1011 but unclear on the IC3000.
Can the IC3000's "console" port be reconfigured into a RS232 serial port for running modbus similar to the IR1011's RJ-45 port which can be adapted to RS232? If so, how does one go about configuring this port for serial mode?
Thanks!

This is not possible.
In device 1101, no RJ45 ports were used as a console port.
In that model the console access was only by mini USB.
On the IC300 device, on the other hand, console access can be via RJ45 or mini USB.

Sorry, to be clear. On the IC3000 can the console serial port be used as a normal serial port? Just like it is used on the IR1101?
We can use the USB port for console on the IC3000, but want to use the RJ45 port as serial. Can it be done?
