I breifly lost connection on one of my routers which connects 2 sites via a leased line. I checked the logs, and it was not power cycled, but looking at the serial interfaces which connect to the leased line I noticed input, crc erros and carrier transitions. Below is the output from a sh int from each router. I'm trying to determine the clock rate on both, but am a little confused. They each have a built-in CSU/DSU, so I'm not sure how clocking works in that case. I can't seem to find a command that tells me what the clock rate is. I almost tried just setting an identical clock rate at each end, but think it will be intrusive and knock out our connection temporarily. Based on the output below, am I on the right trail?

Hello Bill,
is this supposed to be the output from BOTH sides, that is, are the serial interfaces from which you have shown the output supposed to be connected to each other ? I am just asking because one uses HDLC, and the other Frame Relay encapsulation...

sorry, the serial 0/0/0 is the interface that attaches to the frame relay network. Below is the correct serial interface output

I think I may have got this, start at layer 1...I swapped out the RJ45 cable that uplinks the router serial interface to the telco. I'm monitoring now, but in over an hour no errors at all.
