Hi Team,

Here is my Interface Output:

FastEthernet4 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is PQUICC_FEC, address is d824.bd60.XXXX (bia d824.bd60.XXXX)
  Description: $ES_WAN$$FW_OUTSIDE$
  Internet address is 172.16.X.X/24
  MTU 1500 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit/sec, DLY 100 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 13/255
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
  Keepalive set (10 sec)
  Full-duplex, 100Mb/s, 100BaseTX/FX
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 00:00:03, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 17:40:04
Input queue: 0/1024/7676/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
  Queueing strategy: fifo
  Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)
  30 second input rate 5271000 bits/sec, 583 packets/sec
  30 second output rate 415000 bits/sec, 347 packets/sec
     5543251 packets input, 261605351 bytes
     Received 684 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 603 throttles
     872 input errors, 46 CRC, 36 frame, 0 overrun, 826 ignored
     0 watchdog
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
     4159898 packets output, 1679077632 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
     0 unknown protocol drops
     0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

My client is facing issue with there Outlook application. There is a delay in sending and receiving emails. (Client didn't report for another issue)

Following steps has been taken:

1. Slowly increase the Input queue from 75 to 1024. I was testing the same during increasing the Queue values. I know that this is not recommended by Cisco to increase Input queue (more than 100).

2. This link is connected to an ADSL Modem and this modem is having a 1Gbps link but a router is having a limit (FastEthernet link). So I tested with a Cisco switch between the modem and router and no critical things are noted on the Cisco switch port.

3. And Interface status is checked and found below switching methods are enabled or disabled:

 IP fast switching is enabled
IP fast switching on the same interface is disabled
  IP Flow switching is disabled
  IP CEF switching is enabled
  IP CEF switching turbo vector
IP multicast fast switching is enabled
IP multicast distributed fast switching is disabled

IP route-cache flags are Fast, CEF

4.  No Dynamic routing is configured.

Router Details: SR520-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M, 124-20.T6

Please guide, to resolve this issue.

Regards,
Deepak Kumar,

Hello,

the SR520 is End-of-Life 2011, so you might be experiencing failing hardware. CRC and input errors usually indicate a physical problem...try and change the cable...

Adding to @Georg Pauwen comment, if this problem recently reported, why only 1 application, why not others ? if you think hardware is the issue ?
