Internet on LAN

Hi All,

I have a CISCO Router 871 series and purchased a dedicated line from ISP.

I have a LAN setup connected with a CISCO switch getting IPs from DHCP (192.168.10.10) and gateway (192.168.10.1 - -> vlan 1)

Question is how to enable internet on this LAN that has private IPs?

Currently I configured Router's vlan 1 to have IP (192.168.10.1)

Sure,

Here is the Show-Running commands from SiteA/RouterA/

Can you reread my first response in this thread.

You are missing most of the commands needed to do NAT and they are all included in that response.

Jon

Hello Again,

Thanks for reply.

Here is Configurations and screenshots from the server and client.

So are you saying it still doesn't work ?

You router configuration looks fine.

The client and server both have a DNS server of 192.168.10.10 so have you configured that server to forward DNS requests to 8.8.8.8 ?

Can you ping an internet IP from the client ?

Jon

so have you configured that server to forward DNS requests to 8.8.8.8 ?

Not really. You mean DNS role on server? Or settings on client side? How you want me to do that to avoid any ambiguity?

It's up to you.

If you want to use an internal DNS server then you need to setup forwarding on that server.

If you don't then simply use 8.8.8.8 as your DNS server.

Jon

If you don't then simply use 8.8.8.8 as your DNS server.

Checked it already, used Primary DNS (as domain controller) and secondary as 8.8.8.8 but no internet :(

Can you be more specific ie. how are you testing internet ?

From your client if you ping 8.8.8.8 then what does the router show with "sh ip nat translations" ?

I need more information to help.

Jon

sh ip nat translations didnt returned anything , only once it shows entries and then in a second disappeared.

Also VPN setup has been compromised with NAT, I cant ping anymore remote site after NATing (wa working fine before)
