IOS upgrade required for Cisco ISR 4000 and Cisco Catalyst 9400.

Hi 

We are planning to upgrade IOS for below mentioned devices. Kindly recommend the suitable and stable version with upgrade path. Kindly confirm if direct upgrade to target version is possible and how much downtime will be required to perform these task. 

1) Cisco ISR 4000

Current version : Version 16.12.3

2) Cisco Catalyst 9400

Version 16.6.2r[FC1]
