Best path to reach a network is based on Local Preference or weight first?
And higher value or lower value of these attribute is higher priority?

1.)Prefer the path with the highest WEIGHT
Then
2).Prefer the path with the highest LOCAL_PREF.

Eric,
There's some difference in how these two attributes operate. Weight is a Cisco Proprietary attribute and it only affects only the device on which it's configured. Local Preference is an attribute that stays within the local AS in which the preference is set. In the order of preference Weight is high up on the list and will be preferred over Local Preference. As far as what values are better the response by the previous is correct.
