Hi guys,
I've encountered some problems when i enable ip cef on my gateway router. After enabling it, two of my linux servers went down. After disabling ip cef, everything went normal again.Any experiences on these ?
tnx

This could be an encapsulation issue.
Check ARP table , if you see SNAP...this is not supported by CEF.

Could be that the adjacencies to the linux servers aren't coming up completely.
Heres a good doc for checking if this is the problem, and troubleshooting incomplete adjacencies:

Hi guys,
Heres my setup.
Linux servers --- Switch --- FW ---- 6500 --- Router
I enable IP CEF on Router then suddenly my linux servers cant be reached. I have a static route pointing to my FW if destined for my linux servers. Is this because of the static routing ? Though i have 4 more linux servers, only 2 of them fails whenever i enable ip cef.
Thanks.
jeff
