IP SLA Question

Hi All,

Is it a good idea to use IP SLA for tracking a wireless internet link ?   (Fyi, there is no QOS from the ISP)

I believe that tracking a wireless ISP link for failover mechanism would cause constant flipovers because of the

signal strength variations ? Even if the probe counts and thresholds are set for longer periods than whole idea of quick failovers gets diluted ?

Am i correct, Please guide..

Hi
This is sure that wireless tracking isn't as reliable as wired connection. If your wireless link is often flapping you have no choice to use threshold and countdown to make sure to failover which means you won't be able to achieve fast failover. In an another way, it's better to do a failover then no failover at all.

Thanks
Francesco
