Hi guys,
I have tried to change it to max-reassemblies in ios 15, but, no luck. It still shows the ip -virtual-reassembly in. Checked the interface and still at 16. Obviously, I have the syntax wrong to change it...
Ideas?
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
Why not remove it unless there's a specific need for the said command line?

As Johonny suggested, remove the command that is know to cause a lot of trouble.
It was simply a bad idea by Cisco to make it a default.

Hi guys,
So, to futher my comprehension of this, why is it needed? Where would you use it? I have a 2821 box used as a l2tp box and have this feature setup in virtual-ppp1 interface also...Why, needed? or just a default.
THANKS for your time and input!

It is needed in case some complex ACL rule or IPS needs to look at the entire packet. Otherwise thing works perefectly without.
