I have an IR829 router that's currently in ROMMON mode - it's my first go-round with these and TAC gave me bad advice to clear disk space in bootstrap. I want to tftp the hypervisor image back onto the router, but I can't figure out how to do this while in rommon-1.
I have a cable connected to interface Gi1 and I set the IP address and gateway in rommon-1 based on the configuration guide, but tftp still times out. Do I need the cable in a special port?

IR829 has a USB port.
It is a lot faster transferring the firmware from a supported USB to the router.

Leo - thank you. I didn't immediately have access to a usb drive, but someone on site was able to get one for me and insert it into the router.
