Is securityk9 license include in dna license for C8200?

Hi everyone,

My customer had purchased 2 new C8200 for tech refresh on their existing WAN routers. These routers served as their DMVPN routers as well. I can't seem to find securityk9 license purchased in the license. Currently running as version 17.6.3a and I can't execute the command "crypto isakmp..... Seems like these commands are not available

Hello! 

The sec license dosen't exist on the C8000 series. 
Do they have the DNA-A or DNA-E license? They also should get the hsec license (C8000-HSEC) - and then enable the license feature hseck9.

IPsec (point to point), DMVPN, GET VPN, FlexVPN is actually supported in the DNA-E license also... Did you enable smart licensing and connect the router to it?

Hi Daniel,

Yes, they have DNA-A license. Without HSEC license, I believe we can still establish IPsec/DMVPN without HSEC but the throughput will be limited up to 250mbps right? 
If we are running smart licensing using policy, we still need to sync with CSSM to get the license? I thought just periodically update to CSSM for compliance
