ISDN backup for an Ethernet Interface

Hi,

I am trying to configure a ISDN BRI to be the backup of the main line which is an Ethernet connection.

In order to test this out I've connected the two routers with a cross-over cable on port Fa0/1. There are two VLANs going through this connection, one that represents the WAN link (VLAN 200) in the real scenario and a management.

I am using a B-LinkU device for an ISDN simulator.

The problem I am having is that when the main link goes down and it loses the route that is being controlled by the dialer watch it dials fine. But for some reason the interface BRI0/0/0 keeps on flapping and I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Can you please help me? I am including the visio and the configurations.

The output of the debug dialer is the following:

*Jul 31 13:24:40.958: %OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 1, Nbr 172.22.1.1 on FastEthernet0/1.200 from LOADING to FULL, Loading Done

hi

can you try doing a isdn q931 and q921 debug and post the output here ?

also do u have any specific requirement to have ospf as a routing protocol between the 2 routers ?

why dont you try using enhanced object tracking feature to trigger the isdn line ???

regds

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have included the debug output in attachment.

No, I don't have any specific requirement to use OSPF. Does it make a difference? What would you suggest?

What is this enhanced object tracking feature?

Regards,

Paulo
