Hello

when configure ISDN backup floating static route or Backup interface, interesting traffic is configured by "dialer-list" and ACLs. only interesting traffic can triger the ISDN link, but what about after ISDN link active, still those ACL filtering traffic or all traffic pass through.

AFAIK its only the particular traffic to trigger that isdn line rather than all kinda traffic like your routing updates or other periodic updates unecessarily trigger the isdn line when theres no interesting traffic out ther in ther link or w/o any active transactions between the locations..

all traffic should be passed because you defined interesting traffic which is trigered interface activation not access-group to filter traffic.

imho,

in the section "Dialing Out Flow Chart" we can see that if an interesting traffic pass then the idle timer will be reset. if the traffic is not interesting then the traffic is still passed but the idle timer is not reset.
