Over the last few days, ISDN connection would disconnect with just a few seconds of inactivity even though disconnect is set at 300 seconds. Often, clear int bri0 was required to reconnect. Follosing is part of message with the clear command:

PANIC! Dumping old buffered faults.

PANIC! Dumping fault causing the panic.

Memory Protection Violation:

Finally, the bri interface has died. Following are the last few lines of a log:

I know that I need to run some debugs but I'm on the road, so thought someone may save me some time by at least pointing me to the more likely direct problem.

Telco switches were checked and everything is ok on their end.

Given these messages:

PANIC! Dumping old buffered faults.

PANIC! Dumping fault causing the panic.

Memory Protection Violation

It looks to me like there is a serious software issue (perhaps provoked by a hardware issue). I would suggest that you open a TAC case on this one.

As an interim step, is a reload of the router an option for this box?
