What's your experience with buying additional licensing after the original purchase?  I received the hardware and see that I need to add the security bundle.  My cisco partner is telling me 4-6 weeks.  Isn't there a download available days after the partner executes the 2nd purchase?  The .LIC purchase?

4-6 weeks?!?! **bleep** that's a long time.... usually is faster when I do it, and you are right, you submit the order, the a PAK number and then generate the *.lic file, I dont know on how to expedite the order tho.

Thought you might find this interesting: the vendor was pricing a license and additional chassis instead of just a license.  It went just like we thought it would.

hi,

we usually order the chassis and license together.

you can just temporarily install a license while waiting for the permanent one.

the temporary license is good for 8 weeks.
