Hi,
in my lab Back to back with 2801 IOS ver 12.4(24)T1 and two card HWIC-2T the following tests were doing:
*when i use the CAB-SS-X21MT and CAB-SS-X21FC cables
Result:
the highest clock rate that can be supported is 1000000 and lower
*when i use CAB-SS-V35FT & CAB-SS-V35MT cables
Result:
the clock rate supported is 8000000. "Fine"
there's someone to explain this result

Hello Youssef,
if you compare V.35 and X.21
V.35 pinout is here
http://telecom.tbi.net/v35.htm
or
http://www.interfacebus.com/Design_Connector_V.35_Interface.html
and For X.21
http://www.connectworld.net/x21.html
http://www.interfacebus.com/Design_Connector_X.21_Interface.html
you can see V.35 uses differential signals and has separated clocks for each direction.
These two facts provide a clear performance advantage of V.35 over X.21
Hope to help

V.35 uses differential signals and has separated clocks for each direction.
How is that an advantage having 2 seperate clocks ?

Because it reduces noise hence allowing higher clock.
Note: your rating of 3 to Giuseppe's answer that is 100% complete and correct is not fair. My rating - a "5".
