Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN

Hi Team ,

 I am learning Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN service.

Could you please let me know the below.

1. If we are using the layer 3 VPN across the provider in our infrastructure then do we get all the services/ features available in Layer 2 VPN  in our Layer 3 VPN infrastructure,
2. How do we actually choose which kind of VPN would be suitable for our infrastructure.

The answer is not so much in layer 2 or layer 3, but what are your requirements?

Once you know what you need to do, then you can select which technology to deploy.

Also, what product are you using for the VPN service? This will also dictate, to some degree, what you end up running.
