Hello all
Due to high bandwidth utilization in my organization i want enable Netflow in my cisco 1941 router, .version 15.
but some one told me that i can not enable NETflow on router longer than 24 hours, or it will burst the router, .
is this true ?
and can i enable this on running production environment ?

Hi
Only if the router is already heavily overworked would it have an impact performance other than that no netflow doesn't impact the router at all earlier versions did, not anymore , EPC would aright but netflow has no real performance effect on the router , enable it and monitor cpu in show proc cpu sorted as it collects flows and watch the cpu history as well
we run it on every cisco network device we have over 1000 constantly collecting everything for security reasons and path tracking purposes and we don't have any problems 24/7 everyday that's a mix of standard netflow v9 and flexible depending on platform , from 800 series all the way up to asrs /65s and 7ks
