Looing for good books to guide me.

Hi,

I recently started as the Sys Admin for a company.

we have a Cisco Pix515 and a Cisco 2611XM router.

One of my tasks is to learn each of them, document our environment and make it user friendly for others to use if I were to be out of the office.

Can anyone recommend good reading material for this?

I have very basic knowledge of routers and I can get my way around a firewall in the GUI. Any help on this would be great.

Hi Scott,

There are huge databases of documents on these products in cisco. there are lots of books too , which will help you learn these.. for PIX, there is a cisco press book on CSPFA, which can guide you through the basic hardware & software features of pix.. for routers, am afraid, there isnt one book.. lots of them around..

but my best advice is to have a look at some good docs on cisco site. that will help you to learn it faster..
