Loss static route used next hop interface

Dear all,

We used C3620 with ios System image file is "flash:c3620-is-mz.121-5.T17.bin".

The serial interface is encapsulated FR & with sub-interface for different DLCI.

We found that when we disconnect the FR for BERT testing.

After BERT testing, we loss the static route as

ip route 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.255 Serial1/0.2, so we need to add it again.

Could anyone tell me what is problem on it. Bug issue??

Hello,

is the router actually reloading after the BERT test ? Are you saving your running config to the startup config ?

HI ,

You can try adding permanent keyword after static route because when you enter the static route then router check for next hop ip or interface ip by doing ARP function.but once you add this keyword it will always be there whethere that interface is up or next hop is reachable or not.
