Hi
Is it possible to have a WS-C3750G-12S-S and a WS-C3750X-24T-L in the same stack, if so do they need to both be running the same software version/IOS.
Thanks in advance.
Gavin

Yes, please refer to the documentation for more important info and caveats:

If you have a 3750X-24T, your entire stack should be running a minimum of 12.2(53)SE1. Anything less and the 3750X will not join the stack and the stack won't even know what a "3750X" is.

Hi,
Yes it is possible to have both these switches in stack. One more important thing to note is that the license should be same on both the switches.
3750x switch supports three software feature sets: Lanbase, ipservers, ipbase
Show license detail output from each switch will tell you with what license exactly the switch is running.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Hi
I Managed to stack 3570 X with 3750 G this weekend.
3750 X running IOS
C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
3750G running IOS
C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
1 18 WS-C3750X-12S 12.2(58)SE2 C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
2 18 WS-C3750X-12S 12.2(58)SE2 C3750E-UNIVERSALK9-M
* 3 52 WS-C3750G-48TS 12.2(58)SE2 C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
4 52 WS-C3750G-48TS 12.2(58)SE2 C3750-IPSERVICESK9-M
Seems all you need is the SW version to match.

Chris

Hi
No this will not work
The Lan base will only stack with other Lan base switches.
You can not mix lan base and ipbase/ip services
it does not matter if the software is the same version or not.
They will not stack with eachother.
IF you update the Lan base license key to an ip base then it will stack with your switch if they have the same software version.
Good luck

Hi
Sorry what I meant so say if the software and feature set match it will work.
