I am starting to see more MPLS as well...it is supplanting ATM where practical.

FOR SOHO:
Cable modem - dedicated
Dial-up - Older tech - but available everywhere
ISDN BRI- Moderately available - good HUB and Spoke - Dialup tech.
Eterprise:
Leased line - to connect branch
DSL line to connect brach by VPN tech (really we can save cost, because in leased line it increase cost dramatically).- Admin cost are there.
frame-relay line: We can save hardware cost as well as admin cost)- But this is shared bandwidth.
ATM - layer-2 tech it is also good. cell bsed. fastest tech. Rarely available.
LASER GUNS: this is very useful to connect two building networks. distance max 2 miles. This for you one time cost but it is your permanent. NO requiring cost. One time 70K cost. But it saves 10K per month. with higher bandwidth that's additinal banifit.
