MTU issues

Hi All

I got MTU mismatch, as a result OSPF process is not coming up and also the LDP neighbour. Below is the setup.

Switch1 (MTU 9600) -> L2 Switch (MTU 9600) -> Router (MTU 1500)

The OSPF process and LDP was configured between Switch1 & Router. I understand I can configure "ip ospf mtu-ignore" in switch1 which has higher MTU which will solve the issue? I have 2 interface (loopback and vlan) on same OSPF process ID. Do i need to apply "ip ospf mtu-ignore" on both interface?

Also am looking to migrate VRF's to Switch1 which will communicate to router. Will Switch1 sends higher MTU to router regardless or it will only send higher MTU if a server sends it?

I have one Idea here hope it work
you use SVI as Peer between SW1 and Router
you need only config MTU under that SVI and keep L2 MTU as it.
