Yes, sometimes there is an interface command that will pull multicast (i.e. it acts like there's a host desiring that multicast stream on that interface). (I'm sure you would like to know the command, but I forget what it is - someone else will likely post it.)
Also, though, you may need to disable IGMP snooping, if supported, on host's switch, otherwise a IGMP snooping switch will block the multicast to the port.
